Old Yellow Bricks - Arctic Monkeys


Originating in Sheffield, England, the Arctic Monkeys are the perfect example of British rock. They’re described as indie rock, but I prefer to think of them as a post punk revival. They always seem so explosive in their sound, extremely pissed off and ready to tell anyone to fuck off. It is extremely fitting music for when I am annoyed and just need something that has that kind of energy. Of course, not all of their songs are in this one vein take a listen to When the Sun Goes Down and you’ll hear a whole different side of Alex Turner’s, the lead singer, voice.
